Email from M.H. (Mirjam) Bikker: URGENT! This appointed committee organised sadistic abuse can NOT achieve its goal!

Dear Mrs Terpstra, dear Aline,
I apologise for the late reply, but your message has certainly been received. Today, we had a procedural meeting (for your information, this is only about the procedure surrounding laws and letters, and is not a substantive debate where we can submit motions). Prior to the meeting, I had some contact with one of the proposers of the motions. During the meeting, it was suggested that we ask the Minister for a letter about the involvement and trust of victims and experts in the design of the investigation and the composition of the committee.
In any case, I understand that the TGG Centre will also be in contact in the near future with the chairman of the committee of enquiry. I can imagine that it would be useful if names of experts who have the confidence to be part of the investigating committee were also put forward. I have just been forwarded an e-mail from the TGG Centre in which they also ask for this.
I hope that this is a step that helps to keep confidence in the process and in the investigation.
A very warm greeting,
Mirjam Bikker

Dear Mrs Bikker, dear Mirjam,
Thank you for your reaction and commitment to the victims of this extreme violence. Unfortunately, these steps are by no means sufficient. It is essential that there is a commission that is separate from the judiciary, as we have extensively argued in our letters. This means that the chairman and the committee member appointed by Mr Grapperhaus must step down. Subsequently, a new committee will have to be composed, from the bottom up, in close cooperation with the three groups involved (Kaleidoscope, Knowledge Centre and the group of mental health professionals), not directed by the Justice Department. Anything less will not suffice. Otherwise, this committee will not uncover the truth about these heinous crimes against children and the possible involvement of high-ranking figures. We realise that colouring outside the usual lines is necessary and creativity is needed. The government succeeded perfectly well with the curfew and the emergency law. It can be done, if the political will is there.
You have undoubtedly also heard of the unsuccessful trial of the girl Lisa. In our opinion, many testimonies of survivors of ritual abuse are reliable and the legal process for these victims seems to be blocked in many ways, including through the LEBZ. This means that there is a huge problem in our constitutional state. Maximum effort and creativity from members of parliament is very much needed to set up a decisive committee that enjoys the maximum trust of victims. Continuing the current committee on the basis of this false start is pointless.
I urge you to take a firm stand on this. For the sake of victims and the rule of law. I would like to give you more information in a personal conversation. Perhaps this could be a conversation in consultation with the movers of the motion?
Awaiting your response,
yours sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Bikker, Dear Mirjam,
Yesterday I spoke to Don Ceder about the motion that will soon be tabled, which aims to bring about a truly independent investigation into organised sadistic abuse. Earlier, when he was a councillor in Amsterdam, I spoke to him personally about satanic ritual abuse in the Netherlands, which also falls under the term 'organised sadistic abuse'. He was moved and indicated that he took this very seriously and started to look into the subject. He also promised to make a face-to-face follow-up appointment once he was in the Lower House.
At the beginning of September, I spoke to him again on the telephone before he replaced you in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Justice and Security. Again, he promised to make a follow-up appointment with us soon, together with you because you are the portfolio holder, so that this contact can be transferred.
We have been writing well-researched letters to the Lower House about the major problem of organised sadistic abuse in our country since October 2020. This is long before you and Don Ceder joined the Chamber. So far, despite our requests, not a single member of the Christian Union House of Representatives has bothered to engage in a personal conversation with us to be properly informed about this horrific issue. There is, of course, much more that we can tell you than is contained in the letters. Active attempts on our part to have a personal conversation, including with you, have so far come to nothing. This surprises and deeply disappoints us. We would have expected the Christian Union in particular to stand up and really help these extremely vulnerable people.
Don Ceder has promised that he will approach you again this week to have this conversation. It is of course essential that this conversation takes place before the motion is voted on, preferably before the motion is tabled. We would urge you to make room in your agenda for this discussion. This is no time to give victims the same warning we gave them in 1994.
I await your prompt reply,
yours sincerely,
Aline Terpstra
